Job description: As an Outreach Worker (Fixed Term until 31st March 2025), and a member of the Community Learning Team you’ll be working with the local authority and local community groups to identify and engage care experienced Tameside 16+ Residents with a view to upskill their numeracy skills.

Here’s the standard bit: you’ll be working alongside the local authority and local community groups to identify and engage care experienced Tameside 16+ Residents. Engaging them in small groups and 1:1 session with an aim to improve their numeracy skills including signposting where applicable to other community based Tameside College courses.
What you’ll need: With some previous experience of Outreach in the community, you will have a sound understanding of the range of issues 16+ leaners will face when apply numeracy skills. You will have excellent interpersonal skills in working within the community and a problem solving approach.
We require a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our established Adult education team with a passion to inspire every learner to reach their full potential regardless of their starting point. You’ll need to be able to travel across Tameside as and when required.
