What you will do:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Community Staff Nurse to join our Children’s Community Nursing Team to work within our child development centre. You will provide professional advice, care and support to children and families in the community and will work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team and other agencies.

You will work as a member of the child development team providing high quality service to babies, children and young people with developmental or complex needs, and their families and as an accessible and approachable member of the team provide a point of contact. You will also have a responsibility for implementing evidence based practice and supporting and guiding junior staff.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

As a registered children’s nurse with current NMC registration, you will actively seek out new learning experiences in relation to paediatric knowledge, skills and competencies relating to children’s health, wellbeing, palliative and end of life care needs.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills are required and evidence of professional and personal development is highly desirable.

Hours:

1 post – 30 hours per week

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence is essential to this role.
