Job description: Take the lead in providing operational business support for the Service Manager’s in Neurology and StrokeProvide full and comprehensive administrative support to the operational team to enable the Service Manager’s to meet the expectation of key performance indicatorsProvide line management to the administration team working within Medical Day UnitImprove systems and processes in conjunction with the Clinical Pathway Co-Ordinator on Medical Day UnitMain duties of the jobTake responsibility of the co-ordination of the patient’s pathway to ensure that the patient’s journey is managed efficient, smoothly and in accordance with targets and agreed timescales.Bring appointments forward for patients at are at risk of breaching RTT targets and chase test result with the appropriate department such as Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology.Report on long waiters, undated patients and those dated over 18 weeks awaiting diagnostic/results.Liaise with different stakeholders including patients, GP’s and clinical teams.Support the operational team with aspects of service development.Admin ManagementTo be responsible for the day-to-day line management of Medical Day Unit administrative team, being the first point of contact for all areas of management including performance and conduct.Daily validation of all PTL’s to ensure patient pathways are of good quality and comply with Access Policy standards.Work collaboratively with the clinical tams on each site to plan activity making full use of all available capacity and developing plans to address capacity issues. Ensure agreed actions are delivered and staff accountable for delivering and have appropriate knowledge, skills and training to achieve targets.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
