Job description: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, who can work well as part of the Women’s Health administration team providing a high-quality administration support service.The post-holder will need good written and verbal communication, strong IT skills, interpersonal and administration skills with the ability to work flexibly within a challenging environment. A proactive “can do” attitude is required and a commitment to high quality, recognising the benefits of creativity and adaptability.Main duties of the jobTo work in a team-based administrative service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.To obtain, track and return (on-site) casenotes or other patient records as required.To maintain the team’s generic email inbox, distributing queries as appropriate.To sort all incoming post and ensure all outgoing post is taken to the PostRoom daily.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. - Good standard of numeracy & literacy
Skills and experienceEssential
- Previous clerical experience
- Work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Computer literate – Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel, etc
- Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of NHS systems, including Allscripts
- Ability to implement processes for data collection
Professional attributesDesirable
- Previous PAS/Allscripts experience
- Processing of confidential information (Data Protection Act 1998)
