Job description: Job Description Summary In this role, you will be responsible for leading the compliant payroll delivery for GE Aerospace, focusing on; compliance, customer experience/ satisfaction, vendor engagement, issue resolution and process standardization. This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Lead Payroll processes, ensuring that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with relevant legal and GE Aerospace policy requirements.
Demonstrate broad knowledge of Payroll processing procedures to ensure successful execution.
Manage 3rd Party Payroll and Time providers to ensure seamless, compliant, and high-quality Payroll & Time services.
Lead and support relevant Payroll audits initiated internally or by 3rd parties.
Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements within assigned processes, work closely with cross functional teams to propose process improvements to reduce waste & manual work, align to global standards and increase productivity.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Finance functions, the broader Workforce Experience & Insights Team and the HR Client Delivery team, to ensure open communications that supports an effective partnership across our HR community as well as employees and People Leaders.
Manage the Payroll KPIs and leverage metrics to identify trends or problems to maintain and improve performance levels.
Own and resolve escalated queries, ensuring that learnings are understood and mitigants are in place for the future.
Drive a culture of service excellence within the team; promote “Best in Class” customer service.
Ensure teams are aligned and relevant skills are in place to deliver on organizational strategy.
Develop and manage the ongoing advancement of the team (local and offshore), including strong development plans.
Drive strong performance management in the team through clear expectations, priority setting, frequent touchpoints, and feedback.
Champion training and induction processes for new team members and role changes; coordinate and implement training to effectively meet team needs.
Be the payroll policy expert and be able to work with product owners on design ideas.
Drive GE Aerospace’s high standards of ethics and compliance within the team.
Drive and enhance employee engagement.
Qualifications/Requirements
Fluency in English both verbal and written.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area.
Experience in Payroll or related work experience, ideally within a multinational organization.
Experience in direct people leadership.
Significant prior professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in a Payroll & Benefits and Service-oriented environment.
Travel will be required, as needed, to support the team and customers within the region.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work in a complex and rapidly changing work environment across multiple stakeholder groups and countries, with comfort and efficiency.
Location: Preference to have the candidate located in one of the following countries: UK.

Comprehensive understanding of and ability to assimilate regulatory and compliance.
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to present data in a clear, concise, and articulate manner.
Proven record of managing metrics, including analysis, identifying trends, and making timely decisions.
Cultural awareness & sensitivity: ability to flex style to suit differing cultural norms.
Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges.
Ability to drive process improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
