Greetings from GSL Education! We are currently collaborating with a distinguished secondary school in Poole, Dorset, in the search for a dynamic and devoted full-time Physical Education teacher. Although the school primarily caters to mainstream secondary education, the Physical Education Teacher may also be involved in supporting students with Special Education Needs on a 1:1 or in small groups. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons for secondary school students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the PE department, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Contribute to organizing and executing extracurricular sports activities, encouraging student participation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to enhance the overall physical education curriculum and school sporting events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Support students with SEN needs one-on-one if required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification in physical education.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
  • Proven experience teaching physical education at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.

  • Effective classroom management.
