Job description: We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Dorset (DT2), who is looking to employ an experienced indoor pig stockperson.
Working within a farm team, the pig stockperson will assist in the day-to-day running of a large-scale modern breeding unit.
Ideally, candidates will have experience in farrowing and general stockwork, but they will also consider applicants with less experience as training will be given.
The producer has a progressive enterprise that invests in new technologies and its people. Their indoor unit is part of a larger business that can offer great career opportunities and excellent training.
The successful applicant would be assisting with the day-to-day duties, so they will need:
- Ideally, previous pig experience
- High welfare standards
- A can-do attitude & ambition
- Good attention to detail
- Flexibility – able to work weekends
- Ability to work to high standards without supervision
Salary guide: £26,000 – £30,000 d.o.e
