Job description: Ballard House Permanent 37 hours per week Grade J (£49,498 to £54,670) per annumA fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead the strategic direction, planning and delivery of place marketing and events for Britain’s Ocean City, raising the profile of Plymouth nationally and internationally.The role will be either office based at Ballard House, On Site Working or Hybrid Remote.This is an exciting leadership role within the Council’s Economic Development service where you’ll manage a close working partnership with Destination Plymouth and the Business Improvement Districts and provide inspirational leadership for the marketing and events team. You’ll set the marketing and events plan, lead on policy development, and create a range of commercial and community partnerships to ensure the future sustainability of the programme. You’ll be a key player in the delivery of the city’s Economic Strategy working closely with elected members, senior management and stakeholders.We are looking for a proven and qualified professional with demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in marketing and events.
