An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join a global construction consultancy firm working on a portfolio of projects that contributes to the world’s net zero emission goals.
You role as Planner:
Develop and own the integrated Primavera schedule to enable the safe and successful delivery for the engineering, procurement, construction and modification works including wider project team and any consultant and contractors.
Develop baseline schedule and then update with actual performance including measuring, monitoring, and reporting schedule performance.
Ensure all activity links are logic-driven and are aligned with project deliverables, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Contracting Strategy and Workface Planning.
Using client “units of credit” protocols for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to measure, monitor and report progress and productivity.
Develop and update performance reporting including S-curve, resource profiles, SPI and schedule variance reporting.
To interrogate and undertake detailed analysis of consultants & contractors’ Schedule and performance.
To co-ordinate schedule, cost and risk assessments to inform decision-making and lead on “what-if” scenario planning
To support the Project Controls Manager and lead on contractor requirements, working with delivery and procurement teams.
To collaborate with project delivery teams, specialist client directorates and external stakeholders
Proactively drive continuous improvement and provide specialist advice.
Additionally, as Planner you will:
Actively participate in Interactive Planning and Construction Lean Planning Sessions – ensuring that comprehensive schedules are developed using industry best practices and company procedures.
Support the project development process in terms of planning & scheduling for EPC projects using company FEL gate process.
Work with stakeholders to identify resources and resource hours required to complete project activities and maintain accurate estimate to complete resource hours throughout duration.
Certify that performance updates are being captured in the Project Schedules, and progress captured remains accurate at all times.
Communicate the plan/schedule to all project team members on a consistent basis.
Assist in developing recovery plans.
Support change management to evaluate the schedule and progress impact of changes.
Requirements:
Extensive experience including developing Level 1, 2, 3 and 4/5 plans
Proficient with primavera P6 (network version)
Understanding of how to fully build and maintain integrated EPC schedules using CPM, resource loading, Work Breakdown Structure, Baselining, coding, networks and milestone.
Proven track record of working on large scale off-shore construction projects, such as but not limited to off-shore wind, oil & gas, dredging, construction.
EPC project planning expertise gained across a range of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with a sound understanding of project management principles and applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work on own or as part of team.
Strong stakeholder relationship skills
A good understanding of programme/schedule contractual requirements
