The School of Business, Law and Social Sciences (BLSS) and the School of Design and informatics are both participating in a new research project called GAME-ER (Gaming Clusters Across Multiple European Regions), a 36 months international collaborative project which seeks to research video game clusters across Europe. The candidate brief provides more details about the project and Abertay.

The University now seeks to appoint a Post-Doctoral Researcher to work on GAME-ER.

Reporting to Professor Stefano De Paoli and Dr Darshana Jayemanne, you will be required to conduct research for GAME-ER with a focus on the Dundee videogames cluster. The empirical work will require conducting qualitative interviews and other data collection activities related with the video game industry and education in Dundee, and analyse the data to contribute to the project objectives. You will also be required to collaborate with the project partners in other countries to develop a comparative analysis of clusters in the other regions.

You will use you research skills in data collection, analysis and writing to contribute to the success of the project.

The role requires a positive attitude toward collaboration in an international team, and capacity to conduct research in autonomy.
