Postdoctoral Research Associate in Power Systems at Durham University
Job Description
The Role
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Power Systems, to work on a project funded by National Grid.
The successful applicant will be expected to organise and conduct exciting research in the localisation of oscillation in power networks using statistical and computing tools. They will work closely with Prof Yunfei Chen. They will also take direction from collaborators from National Grid. As such, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will engage with both departments at Durham and National Grid involved in the project. They will have primary responsibility for the use of signal processing methods, mainly wavelets theories, and power system simulation tools, such as MATLAB, and for the production of publishable outputs, as well as regular reports to the project funders.
