Outside IR35Our client, a leading and well-established luxury automotive company, is actively seeking a skilled Vehicle Safety Certification Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis outside IR35.The Engineering Technical Conformity department is seeking an engineer to work with the Vehicle Safety Certification team on a contract basis at our Crewe site. You will be working with teams cross-functionally throughout the Business to coordinate, document and deliver vehicle safety approvals as required by project milestones, gateway deliverables and by the Functional Managers.Vehicle Safety Certification Engineer Responsibilities:
- Delivering both Type Approval and self-certification of safety systems for respective markets.
- Ensuring thorough compliance of company products with worldwide automotive safety regulations.
- Identifying, planning, commissioning, and witnessing applicable test work.
- Liaising with international type approval bodies.
- Advising the business on the certification of products.
- Producing and maintaining product certification documents.
The ideal Vehicle Safety Certificate Engineer:The ideal applicant will have a background in the delivery of automotive certification or have experience in a compliance role from another industry. Proven ability to manage large volumes of technical data combined with an ability to understand and solve complex and challenging technical topics.Vehicle Safety Certification Engineer Skills and Attributes:
- An understanding of Type Approval and/or self-certification and/or legislative processes.
- Sound knowledge of automotive regulations.
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications.
- Have the ability to prioritise work to ensure project targets are achieved.
- Be able to work on own initiative, taking responsibility for planning workload from high-level milestones.
- A methodical approach, eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access).
- A Full Driving Licence is essential.
- Happy to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
