The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
The team
The Client Service technology team within Client Group is made up of several different application teams, with focuses ranging from .Net / C# applications to Salesforce development. The wider team supports applications that cater to client reporting, facilitating client trades, capturing and responding to client queries, and mastering client data. This role will focus on supporting the capability team responsible for the Global Client Notifications application and the Client Operational Platforms and Data team which is responsible for the data mastering applications. You’ll work with an enthusiastic team, mainly located in London (with a few consultant partners located in Poland) that have a strong focus on creating a collaborative and fun working environment whilst delivering high quality solutions to business problems.
What you’ll do
As the Principal Business Analyst in the team, you will be accountable for:
- Gathering stakeholder requests and refining them with the team, to create detailed and well understood backlog items
- Providing written and data-based analysis and inputting ideas into how we function as a team to ensure we drive informed business decisions
- Facilitating some agile ceremonies (e.g. Planning and Refinement)
- User acceptance testing of the stakeholder requested functionality.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Ability to deal credibly with both business staff and technical users at all levels of the organisation, with strong senior stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A track record in converting complex business requirements into development stories taking into account processes and technical specifications
- An understanding of any of the following industries: Asset Management, Wealth Management, Pensions & Insurance or Asset Management
- An understanding of the importance of Data Governance.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- An understanding of software development and architecture principles
- Strong understanding and experience of working within a data focused organisation
- Experience of working using the Agile Methodology.
