Our Client is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies, They are playing a leading role in some of the world’s most challenging and exciting engineering projects across sectors including Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities and Development, Education, Rail and Water. They have immediate opportunities for Building Services – Intermediate, Engineer and Senior Engineer grades (Electrical ) to support the delivery of numerous projects within the West Midlands Region.
The roles will be based within their Birmingham Office but with a blend of working within the office and working remotely.
Job Description:
– Lead engineering resource in the delivery of one or more technical design packages.
– Delivery of engineering solutions for large-scale packages of work.
– Undertake Design following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
– Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
– Production of all technical deliverables including client presentation and engagement.
– Preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and develop fee/bid proposals.
– Management of internal design resource in producing elements of the design.
– Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
– Engagement with internal and third-party specialists and resources.
– Engagement with suppliers and manufacturers to establish appropriate solutions.
– Review and verification of design practices and technical solutions as part of a wider team.
– Attendance at internal and external co-ordination, progress, and design review meeting
Requirements
– Appropriate qualification in Building Service Electrical Engineering and Chartered, or working towards Chartership with a relevant institution.
– Good all-round experience. (i.e. Commercial, Education, Local Authority etc).
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– An effective and reliable team member.
– Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
