Hours: Monday–Friday 40 Hours per week (Flexibility required to work evenings, nights and weekends when required)

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising and improving our operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, design and implement solutions, and monitor their effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, understand requirements, and develop process improvement strategies.
- Co-ordinate productivity measurement works carried out by operations.
- Design, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives, utilising Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Develop and promote productivity models to establish productivity targets for DHL sites.
- Conduct process reviews and assessments to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Drive our continuous improvement culture by evaluating and preparing process methods and work instructions to promote best practices, and facilitating knowledge sharing sessions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including the Senior Management Team to ensure a smooth implementation of process improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering.
- All employees are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and also those affected by their activities.
You’ll bring to this role:
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Experience in methods, performance measurement and implementation of productivity improvement changes.
- Working knowledge of facility designs and material handling equipment.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with IT Software including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Access, AutoCAD 2D, VBA & SQL.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies/Prince2.
- A safety first attitude. You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn when required.
