As the company’s ambitions for growth in renewable energy increases, the demand for procurement expertise continues to grow. We are thus looking to increase the size of our O&M wind procurement team with a Procurement Manager.

As Procurement Manager for logistics O&M Wind you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realising its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary vessel logistics at best value for the company. You will be engaging with the wind supply chain to define procurement strategies as well as identify novel market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will work in a fast paced environment where you never know what tomorrow will bring and where you interact with many stakeholders internally and externally to drive value from Vattenfall’s’ supply chain for the business.

The role of the Procurement Manager in O&M is to drive and own commercial aspects when leading negotiations of contracts and/or frameworks for our wind assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be working within the category of logistics (CTVs, SOVs, Helicopters, maritime assets) and you will lead the negotiation of specific vessel contracts related to wind activities in full alignment with the Business Area Wind´s objectives.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for relevant procurement projects.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders and ensure a close alignment and cooperation with the Generation team.
  • Lead and drive tendering activities including, procurement strategies, bid evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for O&M wind projects, ensuring best value and compliance with the Vattenfall objectives and principles.
  • Driving and ensuring compliant governance for your procurement activities.
  • Support contract management activities in alignment with commercial management.

Qualifications

Skills, qualifications and experience;

  • A relevant University degree or equal, with a minimum of 5 years working within procurement and experience with vessel logistics preferably from renewables, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.
  • Thriving in being a ‘fire-fighter’ who gets things done fast and with excellence.
  • Thriving in having multiple activities running at the same time.
  • Ability to work in autonomy and take the initiative. “Can do mentality”.
  • Significant experience in driving procurement projects in an international environment.
  • Good negotiation skills on standard forms of contract.
  • Strong command of English, both verbally and written.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to perform and travel during peak periods.

Location:
