Job description: Role: Production SupervisorLocation: CardiffSalary: £28,000 – £30,000Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4pm – 2amOverview:An excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join an established engineering business in Cardiff.This market leading company operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence and automotive.Main responsibilities:
- Tactically implementing agreed strategies and business policies
- Shift responsibility for budget delivery.
- Demonstrated effective leadership behaviours.
- Responsible for team development, absence procedures, disciplinary procedures, reward & recognition etc.
- Optimising equipment utilisation
- Assuring data integrity through effective management of the business ERP system
- Implementing safe working practices through strict HS and E compliance.
- Promote a Continuous Improvement environment.
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Proven management skills and sound knowledge of HS & E requirements.
- To be customer focussed and driven to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- An experienced and effective leader with an engineering environment background.
- Strong teamworking ethic with ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Thorough understanding of external regulatory body accreditations (eg) NADCAP, AS9100 Rev D, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 etc. (desirable)
