Job Description
Working pattern: Part Time 17.5 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for an organised individual to join our Departmental Administration Team as Postgraduate Programme Administrator, responsible for the processing of applications for postgraduate courses and supporting our students and Academic members of staff. This is a part time role.
We are looking for candidates who will have a real commitment to the role and work methodically with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level or equivalent and have a good standard of written English, as normally evidenced by GCSE English Language grade C or above, or equivalent. You will have previous experience of working in a similar role or busy office environment and good IT skills.
You will also need to have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent customer service skills, with experience of responding efficiently and effectively to phone and email enquiries. You will possess the ability to work effectively as part of a team, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively and be willing to work flexibly when necessary in order to meet deadlines.
Act as first point of contact for postgraduate students, working with the academic postgraduate supervisors, departmental academic postgraduate Leads, and the Faculty postgraduate Lead and their deputies. You will also be responsible, as part of a team, for the smooth running of the departmental office, as well as working with the team to maintain high levels of student satisfaction.
