We are looking for a Programme Manager with experience and aptitude to deliver our IT transformation portfolio to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of cost and time. The role may cover programmes and projects within technology software delivery, IT infrastructure, Data Analytics or Cyber Security.

You will be accountable for:

  • Programme Management: Coordinating and managing a dependent group of projects and BAU activities that deliver the required outcomes.
  • Project Management: To deliver a portfolio of projects within constraints of budget/quality/scope/timeline/benefits parameters.
  • Ensuring assigned section of the wider portfolio is on track providing update to the head of change.
  • Leading and Contributing to the Portfolio Management Team to support the growth, development and success of the team.
  • Delivering programmes in accordance with the defined complexity to the Cost, Quality & Time parameters defined, including:
  • Managing and delivering projects and programmes to agreed objectives
  • Producing and monitoring plans for delivery
  • Producing and managing core project documentation as per the current Change Framework
  • Producing reports relating to progress, risk management and issue identification.
  • Management and control of project financials
  • Structuring planning and sequencing of programme change in line with defined business benefits
  • Facilitating decisions and make recommendations about the prioritisation of project requests within area of responsibility
  • Proactively managing a variety of stakeholder expectations within all levels of the business: executive/senior management/operational/IT & Change delivery disciplines

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Portfolio Management Office core process areas;
  • Scheduling
  • Change Management
  • RAID Management
  • Programme & Project Assurance
  • Executive reporting
  • Project Reporting
  • Budgeting and Finance Tracking
  • Resource and Financial Forecasting
  • Demonstrated use of the associated PPM tool sets and working experience in the definition of quality standards, processes and procedures to deliver projects on time, to cost and within scope.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support across a fast paced and constantly changing environment dealing with recruitment, expenses, training, purchase orders and invoicing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deftly adapt communication style between all stakeholders from operational to executive team
  • Ability to provide coaching, mentoring and leadership of a team of PMO analysts supporting development, talent and progression
