Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE’s Extended Education Unit is a highly successful and commercially driven team that delivers LSE’s Summer School, Executive Education courses, and distance learning degree programmes. As part of this Unit, LSE Online develops and delivers a portfolio of online and distance learning programmes that make our world-leading teaching and research accessible to a global audience of lifelong learners. The portfolio includes:

  • Online Certificate Courses: a growing portfolio of over 30 courses. Professional learners develop their skills across 6-10 weeks
  • Online Career Accelerators: industry-focused 6-month programmes enabling learners to build in-depth knowledge and job-ready skills in high-demand areas
  • Open Courses: a new portfolio of open courses
  • University of London Degree Programmes: 9 undergraduate degrees offered in partnership with the University of London, making a world-class degree accessible to students and working professionals around the world.

The Programme Manager will play a key role in this exciting work. They will be responsible for:  

  • Managing the development of assigned online short courses, working with LSE faculty and our edtech partners to ensure the delivery of commercially successful courses that combine LSE’s world-class research with an excellent learning experience.
  • Overseeing the delivery of online short courses, ensuring that the student experience and academic staff experience is consistent and first-rate.
  • Managing the evaluation and iteration process so courses continue to reflect key trends and developments in the subject area and respond to market needs.
  • Monitoring student, academic, and partner feedback to proactively manage opportunities to improve student experience, course delivery, course development, and student recruitment.

Candidates will require excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as commercial acumen and an interest in the impact of online learning. This role offers you the opportunity to join an ambitious team within a world-renowned institution.
