Programme Tutor Performing Arts (Acting) at Oldham College

The Role: 

We are really excited to release this role as it will be key for the continued success of our Performing Arts courses. We require a part time acting tutor who will develop the students acting and performance skills.  The successful applicant will inspire, devise and direct performances that we take to venues across Greater Manchester. With an understanding of the Performance skills emerging actors need to progress in today’s Performing Arts industry. We are eager to attract individuals from the Performing Arts industry who have up to date skills and knowledge they can share with our learners. We would also like you to be able to show experience in teaching, assessment and learning

You will join our dynamic and experienced Performing Arts team to teach Acting & Performance skills mainly across levels 1-3, while providing pastoral support for your students, supporting their progression to their next step and career development plans. Our UAL level 1,2 and 3 courses ensure students are both academically and practically prepared for work within technically and creatively driven industries. You will provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to progress to University or drama school  

We are looking for a candidate who has; 

• Experience of acting and working in the performance arts industry.  BA Hons in a performing arts and production   Experience of working with young people directing and devising performances  A good understanding of adapting learning experiences for SEND and EHCP to enable them to progress with equity. 

 We welcome applications from industry specialists who have some experience in teaching young people and are keen to continue to develop their teaching skills.
