iO is looking for a Project Manager / Programme Manager in Filton Bristol to join the largest commercial aerospace company.
They are the major player in German aviation for over a century, the company stands out as a global leader in aircraft tubing systems. Expertise extends to structural components like belly fairings, pressure bulkheads, and fuel tanks. Operations span across Speyer (Germany), Nuneaton (Great Britain), and Izmir (Turkey), employing around 1,900 people. The company’s contributions cover critical elements such as RAT frames, landing flaps, lighting covers, and APU compartments, highlighting a diverse role in the aerospace sector.
Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Responsible for updating the Engineering end to end schedule. Requirement for an understanding of schedule management principles (Critical path / float path analysis).
- Responsible for periodic updates of the Engineering resource workload forecast. Requirement for an understanding of time distributed resource forecasting (against project schedule).
- Responsible for the updating and maintenance of Engineering workflow and KPIs.
- Responsible for collating Engineering status report (exception reporting).
- Responsible for processing Engineering documentation for internal circulation e.g. Bill of Materials, System Weight Report etc, Requirement for competent excel skills (see tool experience).
Business Administration:
- Responsible for processing local Engineering e.g. monthly timesheets, annual leave requests.
- Support to the Engineering Manager with production ad hoc documents e.g. Design Deliverable Outsourcing Notes, workload prioritisation etc.
Skills Required:
Tools Experience:
- MS Project – Essential.
- MS Excel – Competent with pivot tables and nested formulas.
