Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for functional safety activities across the product development including management of production. You will drive implementation of safety design and ensure the highest delivery level of quality products within autonomous, robotic driving portfolio.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager Automotive Safety, you will work with the full support of a Functional Safety team.
Ensure development of Safety Plan and its synchronization with master project plan, production plans and its alignment with supply chain.
Derive the project from concept up to product ramp up and set up control parameters for manufacturing following the company processes.
Prepare for safety gate reviews and deliver to the master plan.
Manage resources and timelines with respect to safety activities.
Alignment with customer on their requirements, execute reviews, feasibility process and manage changes effectively.
Liaison with customer to develop Development Interface Agreement.
Support development of Statement of Work working with marketing team.
Plan safety reviews and be responsible to release of all confirmation measure reports per project.
Work with Product Definition and the R&D teams to deliver designs and products with ISO 26262 compliance.
Make sure the product development adequately facilitated with required software tools and systems qualified for safety development.
Conduct competency checks and facilitate required safety training for the project team.
Plan customer reviews with functional safety input.
Support Functional Safety Managers and other safety authorities with respect to achieving all safety ISO26262 requirements and provide inputs for independent confirmation reviews. Manage deviations and drive continuous improvement for the project and product development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic. Automotive, Aviation and Medical Engineering degrees also be considered.
10+ years of professional project management experience in automotive systems and components industry. Alternative experience in aviation, robotics or medical safety engineering can be considered.
Proven knowledge of hardware safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508. Other safety standards can be considered if experience is in another industry.
Experience with safety processes and crafting the associated documentation.
Experience with Project Management tools, such as Microsoft Project.
Solid knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing and product development for Automotive applications. Aviation, robotics, and medical safety applications can be considered.
Effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough written and verbal command of the English language.
