Job description: Property Consultant (Compliance)£40,000 – £65,000 (Permanent)Manchester, North WestProperty Consultant (Compliance)Manchester£40,000 – £65,000My client is looking to bring in a Domestic Compliance from a housing, commercial or management consultancy background working on a range of projects in Manchester. The compliance areas typically covered would be made up of;
- Fire Risk – including FRAs;
- Fuel & Gas Safety;
- Electrical Safety; • Asbestos;
- Water Safety/Legionella; and
- Lifts and lifting equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive diagnostic audits focusing on key compliance.
- Performing thorough and recurring health checks at an elevated level.
- Assisting in the formulation of tailored action plans, recovery strategies, and implementation protocols specific to each client’s organisational needs.
- Contributing to the design of new organisational structures, operational frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Collaborating closely with our data specialists to identify system deficiencies and necessary improvements.
- Providing support in the development of Building Safety Cases.
- Supervising the activities of existing specialised external consultants and ensuring compliance-related tasks are carried out effectively within the discipline.
Required Experience
- Thorough knowledge of contemporary asset management practices, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements is vital for providing clients with informed advice and must remain current.
- Demonstrated success in the six fundamental areas of domestic compliance, preferably with consulting or housing sector experience.
- While not mandatory, possessing relevant university degrees and professional certifications such as NEBOSH would be advantageous.
- Qualifications specific to the housing sector, like CIHCM, would be beneficial but not obligatory.
- Exceptional project management abilities, delivering projects efficiently within strict deadlines while meeting quality and financial targets.
- Driven by the ambition to manage workload autonomously and seize new opportunities.
- Possessing an analytical mindset and superior intellect, capable of crafting well-reasoned reports and delivering articulate advice through both written and verbal communication.
Expected salary: £40000 – 65000 per year
