The Opportunity
Belcan Workforce Solutions are collaborating with a major Aerospace client to find a Public Affairs Coordinator to join their team based in Broughton.
As a Public Affairs Coordinator for our client, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth execution of political and strategic stakeholder visits across our client’s commercial aircraft sites in Filton and Broughton. Working closely with Public Affairs Managers, you will meticulously plan, coordinate, and support the execution of site visits, fostering engagement with senior stakeholders from governmental bodies, political parties, and parliamentary offices.

Key Areas of Focus
As the Public Affairs Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include:
Political Visit and Activity Coordination: You will maintain a long-range visits and events activity tracker, plan and manage logistics for each political visit, formulate visit agendas and briefings, coordinate with political guests and stakeholders’ offices, and assist in event and project planning.
Coordination of Site-Specific Stakeholder Engagement: This involves fielding and actioning enquiries supporting site ambitions, attending internal meetings to share political visits calendars, and ensuring alignment on community relations topics.
Oversight of Public Affairs Budget Tracking: You will coordinate site-specific sponsorship requests, monitor spend for hospitality and defined projects, and ensure compliance with budgetary requirements.
Stakeholder Mapping and Administration Management: Your duties include maintaining stakeholder maps and contact details, coordinating document filing and procurement requirements.
Skills and Experience
This role demands individuals with adept project coordination and management capabilities, coupled with strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail. You must exhibit discretion in stakeholder management. Proficiency in Google Workspace tools is essential, alongside exceptional written and verbal communication abilities as is the ability to work autonomously with proactive initiative.
