Quality Inspector – Titchfield

Exciting Opportunity in Aerospace Quality Inspection

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector at our Titchfield site. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting finished, assembled, and repaired parts in accordance with approved Maintenance data and the requirements of prominent aviation authorities such as the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Federal Aviation Authority (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Additionally, a strong awareness of Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCL) and familiarity with Military Regulations is essential.

Role Overview:

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting airworthiness inspections of components/assemblies, ensuring conformance to drawings, Maintenance Manuals, and internal/external contractual and Regulatory Compliance. To succeed in this role, you are expected to:

Essential Functions:

  • Safety Focus: Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive and sustain continuous improvement within the cell as defined by Eaton standards.
  • Housekeeping Standards: Uphold a high standard of housekeeping at all times, in line with Eaton standards.
  • Site Coverage: Provide inspection cover across the site based on demand, supporting inspection roles in all site Value streams.
  • Technical Inspection: Inspect and measure various types of components and assemblies to ensure conformance to drawing and purchase order requirements.
  • Collaborative Support: Support all departments by assisting with quality-related investigations upon request.
  • Experience Advantage: Experience working within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation would be advantageous.
  • Non-Conformance Investigations: Perform and assist in investigations into non-conformance where required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate, coordinate measurement machines, and/or specialized inspection equipment is advantageous.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to read and interpret drawings, component maintenance manuals, and standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to work as part of a team to provide support to Operations in meeting Customers On-Time Delivery (O.T.D.).
  • Flexibility: Available to work additional hours as required to meet production demands.

Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems such as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in an Aerospace environment.
  • Willingness to undertake training as required to allow the release of airworthiness certificates.
  • Preferred basic understanding of Part 145 requirements.

Expected salary: £34000 – 34078 per year
