Job description: Dallow Primary School is a warm and welcoming school with 630 pupils on role and three classes in each year group. We strive to provide all our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed, and we hold high expectations for each and every one of them to become lifelong learners.Receptionist and Admin AssistantLocation: Dallow Road, Luton, LU1 1LZContract Type: Term Time + 2 Training DaysHours of work: 37 Hours – Full TimeSalary: L2 – £19,690.82 (Actual)Closing date: Sunday 14th April, 9amOver view of the jobThis is a key post within the school which requires excellent communication skills, a willingness to be helpful and a desire to support pupils, parents, staff and visitors to the school. Attention to detail, confidentiality, ability to remain calm and controlled under pressure are key skills to the role. Some of the daily duties include operating the switchboard, handling requests at the front desk, ensuring visitors sign in and manage the admin mailbox. Admin duties include letter writing, producing newsletters , offer hospitality to visitors, organising the school post and distributing the school communication software (Teachers2Parents, ParentMail). The post holder will be working closely with staff, including the senior leadership team, and be required to schedule work and have effective use of initiative.The hours of work are: Mon: 8am – 3:30pm; Tues to Fri: 8am – 4pm.
