Job description: We are seeking a candidate with exceptional communication skills to join our welcoming pre-surgical preparation and reception team in the Theatres department at Kent and Canterbury. The ideal candidate will be IT literate, thrive under pressure in a busy environment, and demonstrate the ability to work accurately and effectively both independently and as part of a team. Multi-tasking is a key requirement for this role.We value enthusiasm and reliability and are looking for someone who is resilient and flexible. The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering a positive experience for all patients and service providers by providing an efficient, confidential, and professional service.You will also be required to Travel to Buckland Hospital in Dover for this roleMain duties of the jobApplicants will work on reception both face to face with patients and on the phone; you will also be responsible for the preparation of notes prior to surgery, making of post op appointments, checking patients in for pre-assessments and admitting patients for surgery, discharging patients and a variety of other administrative duties.You will be required to attend Medical Records and gain access to patients notes collecting from around the hospital liaising and with other departments.You will also be required to work from Buckland Hospital in The Dover Eye Centre Department carrying out similar duties.Being a team player is essential in this role.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with fivehospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
