Pay rate: £10.90.

Full time hours

Be available 5 day out of seven and two weekends out of three days and nights with possible overtime

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at Sainsbury’s Northampton, Pineham, Bedford, Rugby, Daventry, Crick and Argos Kettering and Marsh Ley’s

You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.

Must be able to drive and have a vehicle.

SIA licence is favourable but not essential as SIA training can be provided

Main duties:

· To deliver industry leading customer service

· To conduct patrols of the depot

· To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors

· Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot

· Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

· Liaise with the depot management teams

· To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices

· To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager

· To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime

· Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed

· Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY)

· Must have reasonable level of PC skills
