GSL Education is looking for a Teacher of Religious Education/Humanities to teach at a brilliant and nurturing school in Slough. Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Provide highly effective teaching and learning opportunities as a Religious Education that take into account each child’s specific needs.
  • Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with staff.
  • Maintain an effective system of record keeping, reporting and communication with parents and students to ensure that the aims relating to each student’s progress are achieved.
  • Provide leadership that secures the delivery of high standards and attainment for all students and be responsible for the organization, management and control of your classes.
  • To promote and encourage a learning environment that allows students to reach their full potential

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Have Qualified Status Teacher (QTS) through a PGCE, B.Ed. with QTS or equivalent.
  • Have experience in teaching Humanities/RE .
  • Create and deliver lessons according to the National Curriculum
  • Regularly assess and review pupils progress and achievement
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Be resilient and have good behaviour management skills
  • Monitor, evaluate and intervene to ensure all students are working towards expected level
  • Develop and maintain a learning environment in line with the school’s values
  • Have experience of working collaboratively within a team of people to provide a stimulating learning environment
