Are you a qualified and experienced Religious Education (RE) teacher looking for new opportunities? We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join one of our partnership secondary schools within Winchester.

This temporary position, starting in January, offers the exciting potential to transition into a permanent role.

Position Overview: As a Teacher of Religious Education, you will lead and inspire students in the exploration of diverse religious and philosophical perspectives. To suceed in this role you will have a strong background in RE education and have the ability to contribute to the spiritual and moral development of our students.

Some of the key responsibilities you will hold:

• Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

• Provide leadership as the Head of the Religious Education department, overseeing curriculum development and implementation.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages reflection, tolerance, and understanding.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic and personal development

• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall ethos of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Religious Education or a related field.

• Proven experience as an RE Teacher, with additional experience in a leadership role preferred.

• Familiarity with the national curriculum for Religious Education.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Start Date: January 2024 Contract Type: Temporary with the potential for a permanent role
