About the Role:

Due to a new contract win we are seeking a Relocation and In-Tenancy Manager to join our team. As a Relocation and In-Tenancy Manager, you will be working for a Central Government accommodation contract. You will report into the Property Head of Operations.

This role is responsible for the management of Relocation Coordinators/Telephone Support and Repairs Compliance and Dilapidations Coordinators on the contract. This role is part of the property department of the ARAP contract and is responsible for ensuring there is effective and efficient management of the relocation of Service Users between ARAP accommodation and that properties within the ARAP portfolio are well maintained and compliant. There will be a requirement for you to be part of an on-call rota as an Escalation Manager for emergency situations replating to the area of responsibility.

The main duty of the role is ensuring all of the service users are processed through the system. MOD will tell us a service user needs to be moved into a property by a specific date. It is the Relocation and In-Tenancy Manager duties to track all of the process from start to finish, ensuring we monitor the applications, properties are ready for service users to move into, health and safety/compliance checks are completed, and all parties are aware of progress and/or complications e.g. delay with Lease or Tenancy completion. Another part of the role is dealing with complaints and queries regarding repair issues, antisocial behaviour and landlord issues. The relocation and in-tenancy managers will also manage the eventual offboarding of this accommodation, working closely with local authorities and agencies to ensure the process is smooth.

Role Criteria:

  • Leading and motivating people in a performance management culture. Setting targets and monitoring performance.
  • Experience of managing team member related issues e.g. personnel related tasks.
  • Effective communication of key messages to teams regularly.
  • Delivery of housing management and / or property management and evidence outcomes.
  • Working with a diverse client group.
  • Ability to prioritise activities and allocate tasks to the team to ensure the work is undertaken in an effective, safe and professional manner.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Close management of voids and ability to build effective relationships with all teams involved in the property readiness process.
  • Understanding of relevant property compliance and legislation.
  • Accurately assess situation and make commercially sound decisions.
  • IT literate with Microsoft packages
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Flexible with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
