Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant with computational skills and the biological understanding of cancer-causing pathogens to work on computational analysis at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, University of Oxford. 

In this role your duties will include provide statistical analysis plans for studies and handle day-to-day planning to keep the work on track and efficient and the performance of integrative analysis of single-cell RNA and ATAC seq data. To support the research endeavours effectively, you will develop or customize analytical tools and resources in collaboration with other team members and attend to scientific seminars, meetings and training as appropriate. 

It is essential that you hold a degree in a life science or computational subject, together with demonstrable experience and ability in biostatistics or bioinformatics. You will also have previous experience in a laboratory research setting, and use of techniques including but not limited to PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, western blots, and cell culture. The ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently whilst delivering results to the required standard and to an agreed schedule is also essential in this role.
