Store location
Welcome to the beautiful City of Wells! Officially England’s smallest City, this is a truly stunning location nestled close to Bristol and Bath, in the heart of the Cotswolds. The pretty high street is known for its being the setting in comedy movie ‘Hot Fuzz’, so if it feels familiar when you’re taking a stroll you will know why! The store is nestled between independent shops and boutiques and enjoys a prominent location with continuous high footfall. Pay and display, plus free parking is available close by too.
The store itself is a grade two listed building, so you can expect some attractive features that you would not normally see in some of our other Specsavers stores! Expect high ceilings, marble fireplaces and stained glass throughout. This 4-test room store is split across three floors, with the top fourth floor dedicated to the colleague’s room, kitchen, and large Director’s office. All enjoy stunning views of Wells Cathedral!
Requirements of the role
Experience in the optical industry isn’t essential for our next Director in Wells. We need a senior and knowledgeable operational retailer with leadership, management and commercial skills and would be confident and passionate in running their own business alongside the support of a global brand.
The right person for this position will possess a strong worth ethic, drive and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same. In summary, you’ll be a high calibre Retail Partner able to put your stamp on this already excellent store and drive it to the next level.
