Applications are invited for a Cyber Prevent / Protect Officer within HQ Crime’s Digital Media Cyber Team based at Hutton Headquarters. This post is temporary until 30th November 2024, subject to review.

The purpose of this role is to reduce the overall impact from Cyber Crime in the North West through education and promoting preventative measures that allow individuals and businesses to protect themselves and their IT infrastructure, through prevention initiatives reduce the numbers of cyber-crime victims in the North West. We will host and present Cyber awareness briefings to partners, public and industry

You will also work with education establishments and businesses to encourage cyber awareness, training, assess security risks and crime reduction options and provide advice and guidance to mitigate the impact of cyber-attacks when they happen.

There will be the opportunity to have on the job job training to upskill the staff member into Cyber to understand the basics. There is also the chance to attend courses and conferences.
