Job description: Background –You will be joining a popular, well-thought and very well-run organisation set across numerous sites in and around Swindon, though as a Salaried GP you will only work out of the one, enjoying both the benefits of scale and the feeling of being part of something smaller. The practice has recognised the increasing pressures on GPs and moved to alleviate these with a capped, well-structured working pattern, a workflow team which has vastly reduced paper flow coming through to GPs and the chance to develop a portfolio career within the practice.
Whilst other practices in the town have struggled in recent years, this group have gone from strength to strength with a dynamic, stable and well-sized GP Partnership and excellent management team. We have placed quite a few GPs with this group over the years and the feedback is always very good. The retention of the GPs we’ve placed has also been fantastic.
Newly qualifying GPs and GPs requiring Tier 2 Visa sponsorship are both very welcome to apply.Salary – £11,000 per session plus indemnity and BMA contractLocation – Swindon (North)The surgery –

  • GP Training Practice with three GP Trainers, also teaching Medical Students
  • Excellent admin team – only 8-10 letters a day now reaching GPs
  • Morning coffee break and hot lunch provided every day
  • Very involved locally
  • Stable team of supportive, long-established Partners
  • Low average age of both Partners and Salarieds
  • Elderly demographic, little to no deprivation

Your role –

  • Salaried GP (good Partnership prospects)
  • 4 or more sessions
  • 15-minute appointments
  • 12 patients per session plus protected follow-up slots
  • Only one PM Duty session (no mornings) a fortnight
  • Capped at 12 patients plus protected ‘professional’ call slots
  • Opportunities for portfolio careers elsewhere in the group
