Day to Day Duties
- Working within the branch Sales Team, dealing directly with customers to maximise sales at every opportunity
- Expanding our customer base by helping to identify and develop new accounts
- On a day to day basis, you will be handling customer orders and enquiries by phone and email, building up friendly relationships by giving great customer service which will encourage repeat business.
- You will communicate with the team and suppliers to ensure a smooth transaction for the customer from start to finish, making sure their order is delivered on time and in full
- You will also be involved in face to face customer service on the trade counter
Essential Skills
- Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar sales role with great customer service skills and the ability to build relationships
- You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised, with good numerical and computer skills
Desirable Experience
Any previous work for a Merchant, like a Builder’s merchant , Timber, Stone or Plumbing Merchant is good and would be an advantage but not essential
What training is provided?
Product knowledge is key to the role but full product training will be provided.
