As a Sanctions Advisory – Project Analyst, you’ll report directly to the Risk Advisory Manager and work alongside colleagues and teams across the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (FC CoE) and Santander UK (Business Units, Line 2 FC, Technology and Operations)
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and managing a ‘4E’ (Efficient, Economic, Effective and Ethical) Risk Advisory function on behalf RFB’s Business Units (including Retail, Business Banking, Consumer Finance, Corporate & Commercial Banking and Cater Allen)
In your new role, you’ll support the Sanction Advisory Manager in relation to Sanction Projects and change activities and oversight of Sanction risks and issues. You’ll also provide risk management support through to closure on Policy Dispensations, Waivers and Breaches.
The difference you’ll make.
- Helping brief the Economic Crime Risk Management Team to understand the Sanctions change and development activities using Project Management Business support tools (such as templates, quarterly guidance and briefs)
- Proactively supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Financial Crime Compliance
- Managing related audit trail of referrals; ensuring all relevant emails/discussions are saved in the appropriate file and recorded
- Supporting activities in relation to the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (CoE) and having an adequate awareness and understanding of financial crime risks and risk management
- Providing expertise to internal senior stakeholders and influencing as well as work in partnership with other functions and business areas to ensure adherence to Sanction Policy and frameworks
- Supporting the delivery of initiatives that produce significant business improvements or cultural change in support of business advantage
What you’ll bring.
- Financial Crime Compliance domain knowledge across AML & Sanctions
- Knowledge and experience of working across Banking products and an understanding of Financial Crime risks
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Ability to work co-operatively and productively with others, openly exchanging information and supporting colleagues from around the organisation to achieve business goals
- Confident communicator, with excellent stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to assimilate and analyse complex information and demonstrates shows carefulness of language
