As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing Occupational Therapy assessments and support to vulnerable adults across the borough. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with community social work and reablement services to ensure a streamlined and quality customer journey for our service users.Responsibilities:Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments for vulnerable adults throughout the Sandwell borough.
Assess and recommend provision of equipment, minor and major adaptations to enhance independence.
Collaborate closely with social work colleagues, other agencies, and professionals to meet the diverse needs of service users.
Provide flexible services within budgetary constraints, prioritizing the independence and well-being of service users.
Demonstrate and instruct the use of equipment, adaptations, and assistive technology to service users.
Requirements:BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Enhanced Barring Check for Adults clearance.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to conduct assessments in service users homes and virtually via platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
Own vehicle and willingness to travel around the Sandwell borough.
Our Offer:Flexible Hours: Full-time positions (37 hours per week) during standard business hours (Monday to Thursday: 9:00 – 17:30, Friday: 9:00 – 17:00). Part-time hours or slight alterations to working hours may be considered.Hybrid Working: Currently, all staff are on a hybrid working model. There may be a requirement to work in the office as needed.Clinical Supervision: Access to regular clinical supervision and support to excel in your role.Induction and Training: Comprehensive training provided for familiarity with MS Teams and internal client recording systems and processes.How to Apply:
