Job description: Job Description Summary We have an exciting opportunity within our On-Wing Support (OWS) team for a SAP Support Specialist. We have flexibility where this role will be based, from any of our OWS sites worldwide (London, Doha, Dubai, Florence, Fortworth TX, Shanghai or Daegot), and there will be an element of travel involved initially.
The role will interact closely with the global cross-functional teams within OWS to help develop and improve SAP processes and transactions to improve user experience.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Focal point for all SAP troubleshooting where key users in charge of the first level of local site support could not resolve the issue
- Lead OWS support function, driving standard practices and SAP operations, ensuring transactional accuracy
- Collaborate with the global SAP Ops and product teams to ensure timely resolutions to any transactional, data or process issues encountered with SAP
- Ensure correct identification and routing of issues to the correct group to meet shop priorities. For example, master data issues should be raised to the data ops team, router change to the engineering team, etc.
- Providing support to SAP product/Ops team for scheduled release and enhancement development. This includes understanding test cases and supporting end users on validations and required documentation before changes are moved to production. Drive adoption of improvements at the OWS sites.
- Help enforce standard operating procedures and best practices
- Highlight organisational gaps or training needs for team members regarding SAP or surrounding business processes
- Identify application or process improvements that could positively impact shop productivity
- Co-ordinate communication flow down and training between SAP team and key shop users
- Gather, analyse, and recommend areas for refresher or recurrent training areas for improvement opportunities. If applicable, deliver refresher training
- Provide visibility to the site DT Leader with regards to all emerging trends and risks associated with SAP operations and transactions
Qualifications and requirements:
- Practical experience of SAP and the major business processes within a shop
- Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and identifying stakeholders
- Experience supporting and coordinating with remote teams
- Demonstrated strong relationships and ability to influence and motivate
- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritise under pressure
- Change Oriented – Supports and drives change and confronts difficult circumstance in creative ways
Desired requirements:
- Previous experience in MRO shop floor operations or SAP product
