Are you an experienced and proactive individual with excellent leadership and cleaning skills?
We are currently seeking a dedicated School Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our cleaning team and ensure a comprehensive cleaning service in compliance with school schedules and Health and Safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise cleaning staff ensuring adherence to schedules and Health and Safety regulations.
- Organise day-to-day cleaning operations and inspect standards.
- Monitor and replenish stocks of cleaning equipment and consumables.
- Report defects to the Estates Manager and ensure timely repairs.
- Comply with Cleaning Schedule, Health and Safety, and other school policies.
Accountabilities:
- Supervise the cleaning team to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Provide a comprehensive cleaning service, including dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, etc.
- Ensure priority for identified problem areas.
- Oversee a complete “deep clean” at the end of holiday periods.
Indicative Tasks/Actions:
- Monitor and maintain records of standards in each school area.
- Supervise and report to the Estates Manager.
- Organise day-to-day cleaning operations efficiently.
- Check and maintain high cleaning standards, ensuring logs are completed.
- Stay updated on developments impacting the cleaning operation.
- Ensure all cleaners know fire drills and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain records of broken equipment, vandalism, graffiti, and Health and Safety issues.
- Manage supplies of cleaning materials, re-ordering when needed.
Working Hours: 3 PM – 8 PM Monday-Friday (Term Time Only) plus two weeks for Spring & Summer deep clean (daytime).
Salary: £13.50 – £14.20 ph.
