Our client, a highly regarded corporate law firm, is looking for a Secretary to join their team. Based in Edinburgh, the successful candidate will be charged with a wide variety of secretarial duties, supporting the wider team within the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this successful firm, that will give the incumbent responsibility and ownership in a varied role.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience working in a professional environment in an administrative type of role.
- Excellent writing, typing and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extremely organised and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and able to prompt: using initiative and anticipating requirements.
- Professional manner and appearance, with confidence to interact with clients.
- Ability to work and collaborate as a team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Document production – supporting with and reformatting of legal documentation.
- Minutes and note taking.
- Effective diary management, co-ordinate work schedules, prepare meetings and manage agendas, manage venues and travel plans.
- Acting as the face of the firm whilst covering in reception.
- Carrying out the work with the utmost discretion where required.
- Management of some aspects of travel.
- Maintaining good working relationships externally and internally dealing with any queries or issues effectively.
- Carrying out any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the firm.
