The University’s Information Security team is seeking a Security Operations Analyst in the Security Operations team to contribute to its ongoing mission to keep the University safe and secure.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to enhance your existing skills in IT support, problem solving and customer service and apply them in Security Operations to ensure that the University is safe from attack.
As a Security Operations Analyst you will:
- Respond to security threats, events and incidents across a range of University IT systems, taking action to contain incidents and working with colleagues and users to remediate security issues to protect the University
- Develop and maintain security operational process and tooling to improve the security operations function
- Apply your knowledge and experience to contribute to the secure running and delivery of University IT systems and services
You will have an understanding of, and interest in, current security threats, trends and recent developments in security technology, along with a technical understanding of the use and workings of fundamental technologies and systems used to ensure security. You will be an effective team player and also be able to handle confidential information appropriately. Experience of responding to security incidents would be preferable but is not essential.
