The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cyber-security and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. We are seeking a Critical Incident and Special Projects Lead to join our Global Security Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working across various functional areas such as Threat Detection and Response, Privacy Incident Response, Product, Data Science and Engineering teams.

During steady-state (non-incident times) this role is responsible for leading a range of special projects and strategic initiatives as we work to build the best critical incident management capability across our industry. When a critical incident occurs, this role is responsible for leading a cross-company response to ensure timely and effective management of the situation.

Responsibilities
1. Lead the development of a best in class incident management capability to include all aspects of documentation, tooling and team configuration.
2. Working closely with the Resilience Operations Lead, take charge of a global team of stakeholders to manage complex incident response.
3. Provide support to a wide range of technical subject matter experts, policy leaders and others to aid with all aspects of incident remediation.
4. Co-ordinate both process assurance and performance management tasks critical to delivering consistency within a fast paced yet controlled environment.
5. Deliver other strategic initiatives and special projects as may be required to further develop processes, documentation, tooling and training for all cross functional partners.
6. Manage a broad portfolio of after action tasks that arise from any security and privacy incident, to include daily liaison with Risk, Policy, Legal and Engineering teams.
7. Build and sustain effective working relationships across the entire global business.
8. Act as a coach and mentor to members of our team.

Qualifications:

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from an accredited college / university or equivalent work experience in program management, ideally in security or privacy domains.
2. At least 5 years professional experience in an operational environment, preferably within a global company.
3. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to sustain effective engagement at all levels of leadership throughout the organization.
4. Ownership with exceptional bias for action; self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure to solve problems and meet objectives.
5. Ability to travel to TikTok locations in the United States, across Europe, Singapore and China.
