Senior Accounts Clerk at University of Cambridge
Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of Senior Accounts Clerk within the School of Clinical Medicine.
The successful candidate would be based in the Finance Division of the School Office, providing guidance and support to all School departments regarding fixed assets, and specifically the registering of those assets for inclusion on School-administered service contracts. They will assist with the annual contract renewal process, and monitor expenditure relating to the contracts throughout the year.
The role also issues sales invoices on behalf of the School Office and associated departments to recover costs where appropriate, and provides support to the Finance Division and wider School Office through the processing of journals, reviewing accounts, report preparation and assisting in accounts payables and procurement activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an accounts office, possess excellent IT and interpersonal skills, and have a positive, flexible approach to taking on additional tasks to support the office. Studying for an AAT qualification (or equivalent) and experience of Oracle Finance Systems would be desirable, although training on the University Finance System will be provided.
