Job description: This role is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented Senior AR Specialist to help lead a team in the Accounting & Finance department of a major technology and telecoms player. The successful candidate will have a background in the industry, a knack for numbers and a track record of leading successful teams.

  • Assist in 121s, performance reviews, recruitment and onboarding
  • Supervision of the day-to-day responsibilities of the AR Specialists and their workload.
  • Assist the Billing Ops Manager to define, implement and achieve team performance metrics
  • Part ownership of month-end billing cycle and relevant reporting
  • Managing customer contract change process with 100% billing accuracy
  • Work with other teams, including Customer connections and service teams to ensure smooth service for our customers
  • Produce bi-monthly Aged Debt Report
  • Assist in monthly Direct Debit Run to ensure 100% payment accuracy
  • Part ownership of Refund tracker report
  • Monitor to reduce unallocated cash and credit figures
  • Regular completion of AR bank reconciliation across multiple bank accounts and revenue streams
  • Assist in completion of monthly Finance Operations & function performance reports
  • Reporting on Aged Debt
  • Identify system improvements to support business growth and assist in relevant projects, demo’s and roll-outs

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership role within AR/Credit Control.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A passion for the technology and telecoms sector.
