The Senior BIM Coordinator will be a key member of the BIM team within the Specialist Consulting department. The primary goal of this role is to oversee medium to large-scale BIM projects by establishing and managing models throughout the project lifecycle. As a Senior BIM Coordinator the individual will assume responsibility for task management, time allocation, and effective communication with the Specialist Consulting teams. Furthermore, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the Specialist Consulting teams by enhancing operational efficiencies and workflows.
Reporting directly to the UK Specialist BIM Lead, the Senior BIM Coordinator will be responsible for project delivery and providing comprehensive support throughout the project duration.

Your responsibilities will be varied and diverse, however your primary focus areas will include the following…
- Managing and delivering detailed, coordinated Revit models to a high level of detail.
- Working closely with the Specialist Consulting team to deliver high quality BIM projects to agreed deadlines.
- Create and manage design model maintenance.
- Managing time and resource for projects, to meet required deadlines.
- Managing/Mentoring Junior staff within the project BIM team
- Troubleshoot Revit technical problems.
- Providing guidance and advice to team members on the planning and management of advanced Revit techniques.
- BIM auditor for projects. Quality control of BIM models and associated drawings, schedules etc.
- Reviewing project BIM BEP’s, EIR’s, MIDP’s and ensuring requirements implemented in design process.
- Liaising with members of the design team to assist with resolving coordination issues.
- Support project standards and coordination with consultants.
- Involvement in a wide variety of project types including medium to large scale projects.
- Engaging with the wider Buro Happold BIM community to foster inter-office relationships and improvement of global processes.

You will be a passionate BIM technician with experience in consulting our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills…
- Good communication skills between several disciplines
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Experience working in production and delivery.
- Experience working with Autodesk Revit software.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of BIM processes and standards such as ISO 19650, PAS1192-2.
- Team player with leadership capabilities.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience in managing BIM Projects.
- Experience on working on large scale projects desirable but not essential.
- Experience on working on BIM360/ACC is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of CDE environments.
- Sound communication skills, willingness to work as part of a team, not being afraid to discuss your ideas and way of thinking.
- A proactive approach to your own learning and technical development.
- A keen interest in the implementation of digital design tools and scripting to improve efficiency and workflows.
- Experience and awareness of Navisworks and/or Dynamo would be highly advantageous.
- Ideally HNC, HND, BEng or MSc in a relevant discipline.
