The role:

The role holder plays a critical role within the Compliance Transformation Programme, specifically supporting the various upcoming and inflight projects.

The individual will work across the CE business and functions, engaging stakeholders at various levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the compliance team with the documentation of regulatory requirements and working with the business to document subsequent impact assessments and gap analysis.
  • Establishing a traceability matrix from deliverables to regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively arranging and leading requirement workshops and documenting requirements (high level & detailed) for sign off.
  • Ability to elicit and capture system functional requirements.
  • Working with the business to document process and procedural documentation and facilitating sign off
  • Developing templates to support enhancement of the regulatory change framework and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Strong business analysis experience gained working on compliance and regulatory change projects and programmes, with a financial services organisation, with experience of implementing regulatory response in at least one regime i.e. REMIT, EMIR, MAR, MIFID, etc.
  • Ideally having worked in a power/ energy trading firm or commodity trading business.
  • Ability to work across a broad range of projects, varying in size & complexity and in delivery approaches (waterfall, agile, etc)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: excellent verbal, presentation and reasoning skills adaptable to the audience, ability to build constructive relationships at all levels and excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • ‘hands-on’, adaptable, and flexible, with experience of working in small change teams.
  • An understanding of financial services, market abuse in wholesale energy markets, balancing markets, trading, regulatory reporting, origination, and the policy framework.
