Role Purpose
We’re looking for a delivery focused Senior Business Analyst to join our growing cards team at Travelex. The successful candidate will be a Fintech card expert with knowledge of Mastercard and/or VISA, card issuing including programme management and ideally the BIN sponsorship model. To succeed in this role, you’ll thrive in a flexible environment and be passionate about shaping the future of the Travel Money Card business. We are looking for someone who is currently operating as a Senior Business Analyst or Specialist who has significant business analytical experience, excellent communications skills (both written and oral) and a robust track record of delivering detailed analysis documentation for card products in a busy and fast paced environment.
You will have experience in the entire lifecycle of card products and hold knowledge of prepaid or debit card products and portfolios. Well versed in product considerations, processes and compliance requirements related to card businesses and have successfully delivered associated analysis. You will have a track record of success in card issuing and/or prepaid card schemes and knowledge of industry, marketing, product trends and the latest tech. You will have the ability to document operating models, navigate complex issues and unclear processes. You will document “As Is” and “To Be” processes in a clear, concise manner, and have influencing skills to gain agreement from relevant stakeholders on the “To Be” vision. Other skills will include delivering functional specifications, issue management and supporting project delivery. This is a hands-on role, you’ll be sent in to investigate and solve issues or new challenges, so we’re looking for someone who wants to get stuck in.
The role is wide and varied, giving you access to a range of stakeholders across the global Travel Money Card business as part of a high profile and high performing team.
What will you be doing?
Driving forward business analysis activities in the Cards team; developing a framework for prioritising, reporting on business analysis requests and producing required documentation.
Making complex operating models and processes simple to understand with clear documentation using simple flows and detailed supporting documentation when appropriate.
Collecting, understanding, and documenting the business requirements for change initiatives and projects.
Translating requirements into functional and non-functional requirements (in use cases)
Support with analysis of new product developments, understand the business problems and opportunities to fix those problems.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions to elicit requirements from a range of SMEs across internal and external stakeholders.
Gather, analyse and evaluate facts, develop solutions and influence key decisions from complex information and flows. Document in a clear, concise manner.
Support the transformation pipeline by enabling and challenging existing processes and solutions through the requirements gathering phase.
Analyse and document process/workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from the business on the specifications.
Work with Project Managers to join up requirements and delivery plans.
Work with Transformation team and wider business to identify and deliver continuous improvement and quality standards for change.

Able to demonstrate experience in delivering detailed business analysis for strategic card or payment projects.
Detailed knowledge of the cards industry and programme management in the UK or Australia
Knowledge of project/development lifecycle and the concepts and practices
Strong relationship building / development skills (internal and external) with proven experience interacting directly with end users and subject matter experts
High attention to details, well-organised and capable of handling multiple objectives and stakeholders
Strong analytical and technical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to understand the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term
Advanced experience of tools such as: PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Figjam, MIRO etc
