Senior Business Analyst – SC clearance – Bristol – Hybrid Working – Defence – Career Growth – 2 stage process
We are thrilled to be working with a fast growing Global Consultancy with operations covering the UK, EMEA and North America, We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience in the defence sector preferably from a consultancy based background.

The experience we are looking for:
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with an ability to adapt to and embed into different client environments.
- Candidates will be expected to engage with clients and be comfortable in leading workshops, process modelling, and the requirements management lifecycle to enable successful delivery of technical solutions.
- Knowledge of Programme and Project Management software is advantageous, such as Primavera P6, Contruent, SAP, Prism.
- Experience of working in Agile development teams is required.
- An understanding of technical solutions’ capabilities, including the following is desired: Power BI, SQL, Power Platform, SharePoint, and MS Projects. The candidate should be comfortable working alongside technical developer teams, with an ability to elicit and translate technical requirements from non-technical stakeholders to a team of data specialists.
- Candidates should hold SC level clearance.
- Previous experience in the Defence sector is highly desirable.
Assisting the team of Analysts & Consultants on a range of tasks, to include:
- Advise clients on best practice Business Analysis methodologies
- Documenting the As-Is state and identifying To-Be processes
- Capturing modelling requirements
- Managing data capture and validation
- Supporting Data Analysts in the production of systems and models
- Analysis of model output, producing reports and commentary
- Supporting client’s use of model outputs for decision making
- Testing of systems and models against requirements
- Conducting assurance checks of implemented systems and models
- Supporting technical solution outputs to BAU services
- Preparing written project communication materials
- Preparing formal project progress and other reports
- Liaising with the client, contractors and designers
Other responsibilities, to include:
- Supporting the growth of the Digital Business Analysis service offering by preparing presentations and other materials for client pitches, internal and external comms.
- Inputting key information into the internal database tools, e.g. opportunity tracking, invoicing. Please note training will be provided on these.
- Supporting junior Business Analyst’s career growth, with coaching and line management opportunities if desired.
Qualifications
This role will require good analytic and strong numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations.? Ability, or the desire to learn, a basic understanding of languages such as VBA and SQL is preferred.
- Degree in an analytic subject. This is not required, but preferred.
- Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA (desirable). Alternatively, extensive experience will be considered.
